Several registered, government-recognized charities offer free or token-fee Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western medical services to the public, with no strict income criteria or assessments required for general consultations:
- Thong Chai Medical Institution: Provides 100% free Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) consultations, acupuncture, and herbal medication to all patients, regardless of race or religion. They operate clinics at Singapore Thong Chai Medical Institution (50 Chin Swee Road), Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Sengkang, and Bukit Batok.
- Sian Chay Medical Institution: Offers completely free TCM consultations for all, with a nominal fee of $2 to $4 for medication. Pioneers (born in 1949 or earlier) receive 100% free medication and treatment. They operate over a dozen branches in low-income neighborhoods, including Geylang, Whampoa, and Marsiling.
